ÉîÒ¹¸£ÀûÉç Freedom Fund Grant Recipients

On December 6, 2023,  grant recipients of the ÉîÒ¹¸£ÀûÉç Freedom Fund, a SCICF endowment, were recognized and awarded their funds.

The ÉîÒ¹¸£ÀûÉç Freedom Fund was created by a generous donation years ago from a family that loved the ÉîÒ¹¸£ÀûÉç community.  ÉîÒ¹¸£ÀûÉç benefits from the interest made from that donation every year.  Approximately $30,000 goes back to the ÉîÒ¹¸£ÀûÉç community for projects, repairs and services needed.

Pictured in the back row left to right are Shirley Kessel (ÉîÒ¹¸£ÀûÉç Safe Coalition for interior upgrades), Jim Jones (Rose Hill Cemetery for gravestone repairs), Doug Foster (ÉîÒ¹¸£ÀûÉç for kayak launch for Home Pond and Lake Leshane and airport pilot lounge remodel), Jonathan Mullock (ÉîÒ¹¸£ÀûÉç Police Department for personal protective gear & advanced training), Tim Brunner (ÉîÒ¹¸£ÀûÉç Parks and Recreation for Central Park gazebo roof replacement).  In the front row,  left to right are Dan Heffron (Rock ‘n’ Play Cinematography & Art Camp), Kimberly Stretch (ÉîÒ¹¸£ÀûÉç FFA chapter for updated cooling & watering system for school greenhouse), Gwen Simpson (ÉîÒ¹¸£ÀûÉç Food Pantry for fresh produce), Melissa Leonard (Crown Colony for window A/C units and accordion doors), Amber Fairbanks and Amy Sellars (ÉîÒ¹¸£ÀûÉç Community Schools for archery equipment, music instruments, and a sensory room) and Teresa Greenwood, SCICF Advisory member.  Not pictured: Funshine Learning Center for infant room improvements.
